Grant & Michelle Hobbs - Senior Pastors
From the Wimmera in Western Victoria, Grant and Michelle have been in full time ministry since 1997. Before going to Southern Cross Bible College in Katoomba in 1994-1996, they have served in their local church in various areas of leadership and ministry, including the youth department for 4 years, while in key management positions in the work force.
After college in 1997, with a heart for the youth, they led a dynamic youth ministry at Revival Life Centre for 5 years before returning to their hometown of Horsham to serve as Senior Pastors there. They relocated to Melbourne in 2005 to serve the ACC movement as national and state leaders. Grant also served as the Director of ACC World Missions and Michelle was the Victorian Christian Women’s leader.
In 2012 God supernaturally directed them to lead Revival Life Centre. They lead the congregation to see God’s Kingdom advanced.
Grant & Michelle have a passion for connecting people to God and His community, the Church. They believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives and empower people to be all they are supposed to be.
Matthew Waqanivalu - Associate Pastor
Matthew was born and raised in the Islands of Fiji, growing up in the Methodist Church. After being marvellously born-again and filled with the Holy Spirit at the end of High School in 1974, he studied and worked as an aircraft engineer for 24 years before serving God full time in 1999.
Matthew is married to Julie, and has 2 children (both married) and 5 grandchildren. He has a passion for God and the transforming power of His Word, and His Presence to change people’s lives to discover and realise their God–given potential. As a pastor, his calling is to shepherd people into having an intimate relationship with God, and to raise up and encourage younger generations to pursue God.
Matthew has served in various ministries in the local church since 1980. Presently serving under the leadership of Ps Grant & Michelle in overseeing Missions, Connect Groups, and as a member of the Pastoral Executive and RLC Church Council, and helping in the day to day running of the church.
Ruth Harvey - Founding Pastor
Ruth Harvey was born and raised as a member of the A.O.G. Church in Australia. She and her husband, Les, worked together with Ps Norman Armstrong from 1949 establishing the Christian Growth Centre, Sutherland, now known as “Shire Live”.
In 1973 along with her husband and daughter Elisabeth, Ps Ruth and Ps Norm were the co-founders of what is currently known as Revival Life Centre, Penshurst.
Ps Ruth has always had a passion for Missions, both in Australia and Overseas. Under Ps Norm and her leadership, Revival Life Centre has established several churches for Aboriginal people in Australia; the latest being in Kidman Street, Alice Springs. Some of the overseas missionaries she has supported are in the Philippines, China, Thailand, Cambodia – to just name a few.
In 2005, she took on the role as Senior Pastor after Ps Norm stepped down due to ill health. In 2012, Ruth Harvey stepped down as Senior Pastor, but is currently still actively involved in the Church as the Founding Pastor.
